The Basketball Team is an ongoing conversation about the rituals and systems we are subjected to or create, both willingly and unwillingly, on a daily basis, stretching back as far as we know. We've inherited a dialogue concerning our bodies in public space, which tells us that we're under constant threat, that when we move through hostile territories, we must tightly control our own motions in order to pass through safely. We feel this all the time. Be mindful of how you dress. Don't walk alone at night. Our recent work reflects our time spent in vacant and unused urban spaces as we explored ways of making them ours. As a pack we've discovered an expansion of personal space. We've developed an adopt-everything approach in terms of materials and imagery, and sources for both. We scavenge and we steal and we're not sorry. We learned everything we know from Google image searches. Everything matters and everything is disposable.
